ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Art is a way of life. Feeling my way through, my art is witness to my experiences. Early in life the seed was planted, surrounded by art and flowers that would later yield visual and spiritual effects. Through diverse life narratives, my art blossomed, where contemporary art flirts with conventional and whimsical creations.

Flowers treated as found objects are manipulated into allegories to life without destroying their natural elegance
by shaping, dissecting, and masking them through pigment. My thoughts and art are connected to daily revelations
– the roots to life, love, religion, and misunderstanding.

Capturing memories and time is my pursuit. Like light, memories are filtered and pushed out creating shadows resulting in a tangible existence. These thoughts create details of rich subtle colors, juxtaposed by sensitive contrasts, as key features. Reworked drawing articulates my focus to make clear, concise, and impactful art.
